How the watering system works
1. Water level indicator
No waterlogging, no dry spells: The water level indicator instantly shows you when your plants need water.
2. Water supply shaft
Makes adding water and fertilizer easy.
3. LECHUZA-PON
Acts as a drainage layer and controls the water supply. In addition, PON is a natural storage layer for water, nutrients and fertilizer.
4. Separator
Forms the water reservoir in the bottom of the planter.
5. Drain plug
Is removed to allow rainwater to drain when used outdoors. It can simply be re-inserted for use indoors.
Because the sub-irrigation system imitates nature so perfectly, your plants will flourish in LECHUZA. Thanks to the water reservoir they receive all the water they need for healthy growth.
Water level indicator
Helps you keep an eye on your plants
Thanks to the water level indicator you always know whether you need to water your plant or not. Wait until the indicator is at “min.” before rewatering. Does your plant prefer a drier climate? Then simply wait a few days before refilling the reservoir.
The supply shaft makes it easy to fill the reservoir with water or fertilizer.
Drain plug
Practical for outdoors
For outdoor use simply unscrew the drain plug. An overflow ensures that enough water remains in the water reservoir. Excess water runs off and drains via the overflow.
This protects your plants from becoming waterlogged even when it rains.
Watering tips for beginners
Is this the first time your plant will be planted in LECHUZA?
The sub-irrigation system begins working as soon as the roots grow into the moisture area. This can take up to several weeks depending on the size and type of plant. Just continue watering your plant as you normally would until then. To determine whether your plant can supply itself with water, simply fill the reservoir. If the water level indicator goes down over the next three days or so, your plant is already getting all the water it needs.
